Description

Weeks ago my mother enthusiastically asked me how Allen was doing? Not in those exact words, as she still refers to him as Wolf guy, but the question itself surprised me. My own mother, the realist lawyer, cared about one of my creations more than I did. It was in that moment that I began to reflect on my creation.

It never ceases to amaze me how far along this story has come since the summer of 2010 when it was just a one-shot transformation pic with terrible color, anatomy, story, etc., When I first made Allen I had nothing in mind for him than just making him a typical jock in highschool with minor issues, in fact him being a werewolf was one of the only things remotely interesting about the character. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly the best writer back then. I never dreamed I'd have fleshed him out into the person he is now, more human and less of a character. Slowly the story of HOWL has evolved from an Action Adventure, a High school Drama, a fantasy, A comedy, even a glee rip-off (My GOD what the heck was I thinking?) to the horror based monster movie storyline it is today. Not only has the storyline changed, but so has the format. HOWL was originally intended to be an interactive webcomic where you could choose which character's storyline you wanted to follow, then it turned into a book; hopefully an illustrated one, then I designed it to be a script or storyboard (which was god awful) and ultimately I decided it should be a graphic novel after seeing the movie "Push" (2009, great movie with Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning) 

While I still can't give away anything about the story until the comic is actually in production I can confirm that the storyline has been written and edited. The storyline is essentially done and the comic is confirmed to be done by 2018 (When I have the degree and time to create it.) It may seem like a LONG wait, but I'm telling you right now, it's WORTH IT. I am working extensively to deliver the perfect experience to everyone from werewolf lovers on down. Every single thing a werewolf story should have will be there.  Over time you'll see developmental designs for characters, it'll be extremely easy now that they're all fleshed out, and designs for the location you'll see. Eventually come my Senior year you'll see a lot of promotional works and finally, the culmination of all my hard work will pay off as the comic is released.
The reason for the 4 year wait is because I want to learn every thing there is to know and better my skills as an artist first at College. I want to get my Degree, Comic Art and Illustration, before I publish my first novel. Yes, I can start the production of the comic right now if I so chose to, but it wouldn't be NEARLY as outstanding as it would be if I learned all the skills first, and then created the comic. 

Thank you all for so much support through the years, I promise I'm going to try my absolute hardest to deliver the perfect werewolf experience in this comic :D Good things come to those who wait, and once again I'll reassure you, it WILL be worth it.
